Venice Queen

I took a nap around 5 pm today and woke up right about now. I woke up and my ipod was on Venice Queen. i started listening to it and realized from what i read in his book and what my brother told me about Anthony's life that this song was about a woman who lived on a street called Venice. Her name was Gloria and she was Anthony's rehab sponsor. When she died he felt like saying goodbye in the proper way. Anthony's drug addiction was terrible and in the song Dosed he talks about how he feels ' forever warm" or forever happy. He loves how drugs make him feel but he knows that its better if there just exempt from his life. When he went to Gloria she really spent all of her time trying to help him, why he refers to her as been as kind and as beautiful as a Queen.

As a musician i know how hard it is to write lyrically and most amazing songs in Rock are about drugs and/or were written by people on drugs. Like anything from -I am the Walrus- to -under the Bridge- I sometimes think that drugs help musical inspiration. But in the end True inspiration comes from the soul, pure.

The Hulk

The Incredible Hulk was originally supposed to be grey, so as not to be identified with any particular ethnicity. Printing problems meant they went with green in the end. I think the Hulk should have been thought up as green. When you have a Marvel character whos grey...wheres the pazaaaz! Its just blah and Marvel, the creators of some of the best super heros in the world, is not blah.

Grunge #1 best song ( opinion )

"It is about a relationship but not between two people. It's more one person's relationship with a million people. In fact, that song's almost a little too obvious for me. That's why instead of a lyric sheet we put in an X-ray of my teeth from last January and they are all in very bad shape, which was analogous to my head at the time", Eddie Vedder. If you don't know what this song is by know, i'll tell ya. The name is Corduroy. My Favorite Musical piece of all time, with such power in its meaning, you may be able to just for a second put yourself in Eddies shoes and feel his feelings...maybe. Eddie Vedder had a corduroy jacket he used to wear -- like in the Jeremy video. The song title comes from one day when he saw a rip off of his jacket on sale in a store for a few hundred bucks. Hence "they can buy but can't put on my clothes", just a little fact. But the most precious lyric that sticks out to me is " Cant buy what i want because its free." when Pearl Jam went big in the grunge era...THEY WENT BIG. I think that the idol ism he received, ate at him. He wanted individuality, courtesy, and respect, not as a global star, but as a regular person. But even with all the money he made, as being HEADMAN OF PEARL JAM, he couldn't buy those rights that you and I share.
